Bringing your kitten home

Delivery & Pickup

Two arrangements, both confirmed individually: a scheduled pickup appointment, or pet-nanny delivery to eligible destinations in other states.

There are two ways to bring your kitten home: collect your kitten in person at a scheduled pickup appointment, or, for eligible destinations in other states, arrange for a pet-nanny to accompany the kitten in the cabin on its journey. Both options are confirmed individually once availability and arrangements have been agreed. No kitten is shipped as unaccompanied cargo.

Scheduled pickup

Many families prefer to collect their kitten themselves. Pickup takes place by appointment at a time agreed in advance, so that the handover is calm and unhurried and there is time to go through the records together and meet the kitten’s mother where possible.

Requesting a pickup appointment

Once availability has been confirmed in writing, use the pickup request form on this page (or reply to our confirmation message) with a few dates and times that would suit you. We confirm the appointment, along with the location details, by email.

How confirmation works

A pickup appointment is confirmed only after the kitten’s availability and the agreed arrangements have been settled. You will receive a written confirmation stating the date, time and what to bring. If something changes on either side, we ask for as much notice as possible so the appointment can be rearranged.

What to bring

Your confirmation will state which identification or documents, if any, are needed on the day. As a rule, please bring the confirmation itself, photo identification matching the name on the inquiry, and a secure hard-sided or soft-sided carrier.

The handover

At the appointment we go through the kitten’s records together, hand over the documentation that accompanies the kitten, and talk through feeding, litter, grooming and the first few days at home. Please allow time; this is not a quick transaction.

Preparing for a safe journey home

  • Bring a secure carrier lined with a soft towel and, if possible, something that smells of home; never travel with a kitten loose in the car.
  • Keep the carrier level and secured on a seat or footwell, out of direct sun, with the car comfortably cool and quiet.
  • Carry a small bottle of water and a travel bowl for longer journeys; most kittens will not eat in transit and that is normal.
  • Have a quiet “safe room” ready at home with litter tray, food, water, scratcher and a bed, so arrival is calm and settled.
  • Plan to let the kitten explore one room first and expand its territory gradually over several days.

Pet-nanny delivery to other states

For families who are too far away to collect in person, a pet-nanny can accompany the kitten in the aircraft cabin to eligible destinations in other states. Delivery is not automatically available to every destination: each request is assessed individually and depends on route availability, the applicable animal-welfare and transport requirements, airline in-cabin pet policies, the kitten’s age and wellbeing, and confirmed arrangements on both sides.

Requesting a delivery quote

Use the delivery quote form on this page. If you start from a kitten’s profile, the kitten is identified automatically. Tell us the destination city and state and any timing preferences. We will assess whether the destination is currently eligible and, if so, come back to you with the options and a quote.

What we need to assess a destination

  • The destination city and state, and whether the handover would be at an airport, a home address or another agreed meeting point.
  • The name of the person who will receive the kitten and how we can verify their identity at handover.
  • Your preferred dates, and how flexible they are.
  • Any relevant requirements at the destination, such as state import rules or housing restrictions.

How scheduling and travel are confirmed

Once a destination is confirmed as eligible and the quote is accepted, the travel date, route and handover details are agreed in writing. Travel is arranged with the kitten’s welfare as the first consideration, and a journey may be postponed if conditions, the kitten’s health or the weather make it unwise on the planned day.

Communication before and during the journey

You will know in advance who is accompanying your kitten and how to reach them. Where the route and the pet-nanny’s arrangements allow, you will receive updates during the journey and a message when the kitten is close to the handover point.

Handover and identity verification

The kitten is handed over only to the named person, who will be asked for photo identification. The records that accompany the kitten are handed over at the same time.

Documentation and animal-welfare requirements

Interstate travel with a kitten can require a current veterinary health certificate, a minimum age, and compliance with the destination state’s rules on vaccination and import, as well as the airline’s in-cabin carrier requirements. We confirm which requirements apply to your route before travel is booked, and those requirements can affect the earliest possible travel date.

Factors that affect availability, timing and cost

  • The distance and the route options available to the destination.
  • The pet-nanny’s availability on your preferred dates.
  • Airline policies for in-cabin pets, including seasonal and temperature restrictions.
  • Veterinary certificate and destination-state requirements.
  • The kitten’s age and readiness to travel.

Because of these factors, delivery costs and timings are quoted individually rather than published as fixed figures.

Inquire about a kitten

Sending an inquiry starts a conversation. It does not reserve a kitten and nothing is finalized until availability and arrangements are confirmed in writing.

No kittens are currently available for new inquiries. You can still send a general question below.
